Aww Look A Temp Ban

So I posted something saucy and sexy over at the forums and now I'm temp banned. I could get mad and be all, "OH MAH GAWD FUCKS U EA" like a lot of people do (even the ones who did deserve it and know what they did...). I'm not mad. I should have linked the picture just to be safe like I always do. After all, there are children on the forums.

Anyway, here's my saucy and sexy entry for Hitched:

Now for the story:
Helvetica had lost quite a few of relationships due to experimentation and she wasn't about to lose her marriage to one either. So what's a girl to do in this situation? The answer was almost too simple. Since Cato gained his experience, Helvetica wanted to gain one for herself. So after much deciding the two called a close friend and they enjoyed an experience together.

Now what I'm wondering is how against LGBT the mods on the forums are. Would it be against their rules if I was banned? I'd be banned for being discriminated against my sexuality. They could pull the card of inappropriate and chuck the old "but children might see it! They might know what gay is!" Which I bet all of you that your children know what gays are and are fully understandable. In fact they are ready to be taught to not hate us. 

Anyway, I digress. If I do get banned I'mma roflcopter and make a new sig about how that mod is a homophobe. Yep. My name is Amiee, I'm a woman on a mission.

By the by, if anyone else wants a sexuality pride signature, let me hook you up. Heck you can even steal mine. I won't mind seeing mine all over the place. Hahaha.

I Am A Warrior!

So this is my current entry for Calendar Girls: Timeless Beauties, or something to that sort. The assignment was Greek Warrior.

As far as editing goes, I played with levels and the hue/saturation, and I also added in some of those bruises and dirt, or whatever you want them to be. Hahaha.

On another note, I have a beauty soon up for grabs:

Her name be Helvetica sonz. I once had this great idea, why not name Sims after typefaces?! So here is Helvetica unofficially. I still need to rip the skin off of her and upload her properly so no black skinned Sims for you. Though sometimes I enjoy getting surprise skins when I install a Sim. It's like free CC with no hassle!

Comps Comps Comps

Wow, posting a blog on the Macs at my college is so weird. I don't know how big the monitor is, but it is huuuugggeee compared to my laptop. Anyway, I want to spend a moment to talk about competitions.

First up, some of you may have heard about JKAmaryllis' new competition called Canvas. It's where the assignments are going to be based off of different types, maybe pieces, of art. I think this is going to be a fun competition and I really can't wait to see how it goes. Amber is a great competition host and she judges quite fair. You can see the thread here.

Another competition I want to talk about is ☆Static Future Modeling☆ that is hosted by SimsARL and CrazyPlumbob915. This is a new competition and the first to be hosted by these two. They both are excellent hosts that are always on time and always checking the thread. There hasn't been a time where I was left waiting for a response. The two are professional with their competition. The thread is neatly laid out and well categorized. So A+ for design, ladies! They judge fairly and are always giving recommendations on how to improve in their comments. I would definitely sign up for another one of their competitions. The thread can be found here.

Yay 50 posts!

Wow, that took me forever to reach, haha.

So, I did my windows re-install and now that everything is normal-ish and my Adobe CS5 is working, my Sims game looks really different.

It looks smaller and more skewed then before. I checked the resolution and it is the one right for my computer, but it still doesn't look right. i'm thinking I'm missing a driver, but I have all the ones for my graphics card. So I don't know. I want it back to being what it was before.

I sold my first art prints today! This guy at work really liked my Edgar Allen Poe stamps I made and so I printed them off before the stamp process.

They are all hand painted in gouache and watercolor as separate pieces, then they were scanned in and resized and all stamp-ified. The first one in the series is probably my favorite, the girl one looked much better as a sketch. :]

I have to apologize for the people who wanted Lightning. I didn't save her in my Sim bin like I thought I did. So no more Lightning. D:

Want more pictures? I hate making blog posts without a bunch of pictures. I made these atrocities for some comps I had due after I did a system re-install. I will always smack myself in the head for not doing these before I had to do the re-install.

First up is Hitched:

I recycled this picture, I was going to use it for a different assignment, but then decided on a different approach. I downloaded that font just for this entry. I'm surprised how well I did in the scores too. I thought for sure I was going to be eliminated.

Next is Timeless Beauties Calender Girls:

I was inspired by Sun who said she was going to make her model thinking about her army boy, but she was too busy. I couldn't shake the idea so I made this. I like how he is popping out of the thought bubble, but I wish I didn't cut off his hand like that. I should have left it or something. Very unprofessional to have random limbs cut off.

What I Do With Your Sims When You Are Not Looking

So nothing is easier than using someone's pre-made sims and dropping them into your game. My favorite thing to do is to use them in competition assignments and see if anyone has noticed.

Example:

This is my picture for Calender Girls' second assignment. Now, If you look closely you see a chick in  pink and Bailey on the drums. Would you like to see the other "Props"?

First up is the pink chick:

Want to know who she is? She's Piper Amiee-Lee Lawson from Furyred's Heart Family Legacy. I dyed her hair pink and went all out. I tried to go with a hair metal feel for my makeshift band, but I feel she is more punk. I've been meaning to use that top by Evie and I felt it was perfect.

Next on the list, the guitarist:

Okay, so all of my extras this time comes from Fury's legacy. I couldn't remember which one he is, I'm thinking Saffron. I kept his brown hair color, took of his top, made him more hair metal to my best ability. He looks good like this, reminds me of a werewolf. He would make a seeeexy werewolf.

Now, I know I've told you all my model's official extra is Tristan, but I wanted to show him too:

Nothing says hair metal like a black jacket and some red eye makeup. I think it looks good on him. Tristan might do well in Drag. Tristan was going to be the groom in my shot but he kept getting in the way so I moved him to the side. Such an attention slut. 

Now, I know some people get all mad when peeps modify their Sims and whatev's, but I didn't claim as my own and I gave credit.So it'sa bunch of pixels that aren't uploaded anywhere. Oh and my space bar is hating me so if words are all together, then I'm sorry, I tried to catch all of them.

She just looks so happy banging on her drums. I made a new couple for JKAmaryllis' competition called Hitched. 

Bailey, pictured above, makes some of the best faces. She makes my face go all happeh.

Etoile, Bailey's "partner" as you people force upon them to use, doesn't make as much faces. I had to sit for the longest time waiting for her to do an idle animation. 

These two were destined/forced together by me and they are cute. The two should be up for upload when I get the chance. I just wanted to take these so I could turn in my models.

I'm Not Dead!

This semester has been awful to me and when I take my last exam Friday I'll be free! Free as a bird until school starts back up again in January. I'm glad it's to be over with in all honesty.

Anyway, I'm still working my little simself story. Turns out I'm too stubborn to go back into my urn when daylight comes around. Let me say, that's made things quite annoying. I make an annoying ghost. =P

My latest entry from Calender Girls:

I have fallen in love with Lightning. She has this Sims 2 look to her somehow, but she's keeping it pretty at the same time. Also, some little trivia for you, the male in this picture is Tristan from Furyred's Heart Legacy. I shrank his ears a little since it looked a little weird with the short hairstyle. I went with the "Military-Boyfriend-In 1960's setting" idea. I think these two make quite a cute couple. ;D We may be seeing babies in the future! (Maybe)

Uhm, for those interested I made a new art portfolio/gallery site. I imported everything from my Deviant Art account (long story why I moved) which I sometimes update but not always. Anyway, for you stalkers here is my portfolio. (Yay self promotion!)

Oh, and here is a sample of a piece I'm working on, I'm still fixing everything up, but it's called a Work-In-Progress for a reason. Oh and there is "boobies" in this piece, meaning that there is outlines of balloons where a certain female body part should be. There is no tiny circles in these balloons. If you are offended by balloons or slight boobies, then I think you shouldn't be following my blog. >_>

It will look way better when done. I haven't done any coloring in Photoshop for a loooong time. I had this drawn on a bristol board in pencil. I took a picture of it with my awesome Droid Eris smartphone. Then I traced it with the pen tool and laid out some basic colors and shades. I plan to go back and fix the eyes and add some more detail and cut off the shot at the upper boobie level. 

I really can't believe it's almost been a month since I've posted. What be wrong with me? D:<

(Side Note: I have used the word boobie in this post 4 times! :D)

What's To Come

So It's been too long since I've made a post. So I'll just make this a preview post for some Sims I've been working on.

I call her Neon. She'll be the second Sim I make for the Periodic Sims. I'm not that happy with her yet, but I love the sparkle shorts. ;D

This is Lightning who I originally made for Blaz's Faerie Folk competition and since I missed that deadline, I took off her wings and changed her hair and stuck her in the Timeless Beauties Calender Girls competition hosted by Sereniticat2 and Hushfirefly. 

Any Final Fantasy fans out there? If you look closely you may be able to tell I based my Lightning on Final Fantasy 13's Lightning.

 

She didn't turn out how I wanted so I just added my own flair. I've been so addicted to this game, sorry for the lack of updates. I'm not spending all my time on this game though, I'm getting close to the end of the semester at my college and I'm trying to buckle down and study more. If you're my friend on Facebook then you know about the last couple pieces of art I've been working on. 

Sadly, that is all I have for now. I'll post again soon.

Can't Stop The Rain

Something awful has happened in my house of pixels.

You see, it all started with a fire. A fire that me and my pixel husband put out. So we decided in front of the fireplace that just caught on fire would be a great place to get into that frisky. Now, I don't have pictures of the first fire, but it started when I had just gotten myself and Jesse into the "Irresistible" mood. I figured that was a coincidence.

"STOP KISSING ME! MY BUTT IS ON FIRE!" The fire went haywire and I was put out pretty quickly but still singed. 

So I caught on fire again! My children were in the room but freaking out due to the fire, so it was me and the husband putting out this rouge fire on our own. The fire department was still a no show.

Oh hey, there you are!

Oh but you were too late! My poor teenage daughter is now forever scarred from witnessing my death. Yay for ruining her life even in death!

Worst part of it all: spending my final minutes with that horrible hair and barely clothed.  Oh and that blue haired guy is my son. Isn't he so cute? Erm anyways, begging didn't work.

There's my urn, isn't just so smexy? I made myself a little "shrine" by using one of the World Adventures pedestal display cases with a couple of flowers, but I forgot to take a picture of it. So a floor picture will have to do. 

Everything was so quiet in the house. The family members barely spoke to each other, usually I have to constantly pull them away from each other to get some work done. 

Jesse kept himself distracted with improving his martial arts skill. Everyone was so depressed, I had my daughter call in one the professionals....

Thus Is Life

I received some very bad news today:

Yep folks, the lovely non-default skin tones are now obsolete due to the new patch. They cause the new boob and muscle tone sliders not appear at all. What does this mean? What shall happen to my colorful Sims? I simply cannot live without my beautiful skins. 

It' okay Carbon, we'll figure something out. You can cry if you want to. D':

Okay, this is depressing. Time to move onto a happy subject! I has won an award!

What, you expected a real reward? Pfffttt! My simself has gained the key to the city for being such an awesomesauce architect, because that's totally what mayors give to architects. So I appeared in my whole cleavage-y goodness and accepted my key from the very odd hippie-ish mayor. I be so jealous of his luscious mane. 

Yeah slut-face, you better cheer for me- ooo confetti~ Overall, I say party was a modest attempt. Needed more confetti and better people to look at. :3

Giraffes

Hey, this is my 40th post. Yay!

So I've been super busy with my studies and what-not again. The last couple of days I've been up way late to work on these art projects I had to do. I don't have a picture of the one that took me like two nights to finish, (it didn't turn out that great and I hated looking at it) instead I have the second one I did which I am super proud of.

Medium: Gray-scale construction paper cut with an X-acto knife and glued with cement glue. Have I ever told you my obsession with giraffes? Well, I love them. They are so awkward looking that they are ever so graceful and cautious. It's wonderful.

On a Sim's related note I downloaded the Create A World Tool, I don't have it installed yet, but that will be fixed soon. Uhmm. That's all I have to say now I think.

This Is My Excited Face

For those of you who have not seen this picture online yet:

We be getting new sliders on Late Night! :D <3! So now I need this Expansion pack so I can make a Pamela Anderson boob sized Sim! Oh and cute little A-cup scenesters too.

This may be nothing for you peeps and yer mod sliders, but for me I need this. I'm starting a fund and it's the fund of "Help Amiee Afford Late Night So She Can Afford Her New Car Too." Only pennies a day can help save this poor girl from being jealous of other simmers and their fancy new expansion pack.

So with the last assignment of Faerie Folk I messed up my Sim's house. Playing with Floor Elevation false and flatten lot are not a good idea. The whole place was squished together. The stairs functioned well but all the items were through the floor and the lights were chilling on the floor. I had my ghost Sim's daughter stuck on an invisible bed and then my ghost Sim just disappeared all together. Luckily though, with Reset Sim and Chaos Mod, I was able to move the family into a much better house. 

I'm feeling kinda icky, so I'm going to go and take a nice shower. I leave you with a picture of the current public bathroom situation at my work:

What costs 12k and is mine?

My 2006 Jeep Liberty! Now I know I just posted about my little Escort and how rusty and junky it was, but the electronic seat belt broke and that was a thousand dollars just to get the parts. I don't know about you guys, but I'm not spending a thousand dollars on a damn seatbelt when I can spend 12k on a nice new car. It has four-wheel drive and it's actually not that big. I live in the mountains, so come winter I'll be the one actually able to leave the house. 

So that's what I've been doing/stressing over. I bought it on the 13th so i'm still trying to configure my payments on all my bills for each week. I don't think I'm going to be able to afford the Late Night expansion pack. :<

I haven't had much time to play my game, (Darn you college and work and significant other!) but I really want to push more Sims out. So expect... actually don't expect. My life is changing so a lack of updates will happen, but you're welcome to push me to update. (Cough Kelle ;D) 

Oh one more preview of a Sim I'm working on:

She is, of course, supposed to be mixed in the race department. I decided to go half Black, half kinda Asian. I'll gladly take feedback on her. I want to improve. I've never really made a Sim that wasn't pastey white, so every bit helps. Except that whole, "Boo yer sims sucks!!11!! Ariz's are liek wai moar awsume!" But you kids already knew that right? ;D

We Call This A Filler

Guess what I received on Saturday night at 10:43?! Give up? A speeding ticket. Apparently I was going 44 in a 25, which is one below reckless driving. I was in a school zone and zoning out to some nice music, (Probably Fiona Apple) I stop at a stoplight thinking to myself, "Gee I was going pretty fast back there." I make the turn and I see the lights of the lovely hues of red and blue. According to the officer he didn't add on a residential zone fee, which would have add like hundreds of dollars onto my ticket.

Thank you officer, I'm a good kid, I promise. This is my first speeding ticket, but I've had a parking ticket before. I parked in a teachers parking lot at my college and the officers didn't like that.

Anyone want to see a picture of my car? No? Too bad.

I'm very proud of her, she made it to 170,000 miles a couple of days ago. <3

What else to talk about? I made some generic sims for generic contests. Ive debated on uploading them, but I feel they look too.... plastic. 

She's like too perfect. Usually when I feel I made a too perfect Sim I attack their noses to give them some sort of faults. After all, everyone has a fault. Man, I love those lemon leaf eyes too. Too bad I had to kill her for some ghost contest.

Even my faerie for Faerie Folk Cycle 2 looks generic. She's actually sitting in my uploads on my launcher. I can't decide to upload her or not. Maybe if I get some sliders like the rest of you people my Sims won't look so generic? I like the fact that I can say, "Yes, my Sims won't revert if you touch them, they come as they are, no sliders necessary." Maybe if I just don't create a few for awhile I'll come up with someone awesome looking.

On one final note: I am deciding whether or not to start my own contest at Cstyles. I have a theme already. Video Games. The whole idea is your character is the hero/heroine, I will be directing the assignments as if they were levels. For example the first one would be a tutorial and it'd be basic and boring. I'm kind of excited. I plan to do this after the contests I'm in are over and I get it more planned out or something.

Now I am off to go bug Kelle at her chat and hopefully to get some sleep.
